On Thursday, October 4, at 7 p.m., Edmund’s Oast restaurant will host a wine dinner featuring single vineyard, northern California wines from Ceritas. The Spanish word “ceritas” means “mineral expression of the soil”, and this is just what John and Phoebe Raytek strive for in their wines. They desire for their wines to speak of their premiere cool climate sites. They focus primarily on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir but also have Cabernet Sauvignon from the legendary Peter Martin Ray vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Highlights of the dinner will include Peter Martin Ray & Porter Bass Chardonnays enjoyed side by side, and Hellenthal & Elliot Pinot Noirs enjoyed side by side, and Peter Martin Ray Cabernet Sauvignon as a finale.

David McCarus, local distributor and good friend of the Rayteks, will provide insight into each wine as the dinner progresses.

Chef Bob Cook and Pastry Chef Heather Hutton will prepare a four course dinner to compliment the wines. The dinner will be held in “The Library”, the new private dining room at Edmund’s Oast. Tickets are $99, all inclusive. Seating is extremely limited.
