Songs to Save the Edisto Finale
feat. Shovels & Rope, Mechanical River, Marcus Amaker, & more!
Wed, Nov 4 at 7pm
Ever wished you lived through the spirited protest music of the 60s? Saw Bob Dylan croon "The Times They Are A-Changin'?" Scooted your boots to Pete Seeger railing against the Vietnam War?
Well, Pete Seeger has passed on and Bob Dylan won't return our calls, but we have the next best thing: Songs to Save the Edisto, an evening of folk, indie, protest music, poetry, video art, and speakers!
Featuring: Shovels & Rope playing protest songs, Mechanical River, former Charleston poet laureate Marcus Amaker, the Deadleg Wobblers, the Palmetto Choral Collective Peace Choir, and more.
All proceeds go towards the fight against the proposed $5 billion gas plant megaproject on the Edisto River, the pipeline through the ACE Basin to fuel it, and the data centers it would power if built.
Brought to you by Charleston Climate Coalition, The M.A.R.S.H. Project, and Microdose Cooperative.
