Join Collective SC for IV, our Season 4 Opener and Fundraiser, on Saturday, October 10th at 6:30 PM at Holy City Dance Center's Summerville location.
Celebrate the start of our fourth season with an evening of contemporary dance, community, and fun. This informal performance will feature new works in progress by Collective SC, special guest performances by Holy City Dance Center students performing Collective SC repertoire, and the premiere of Charleston’s newest dance company, KAB&CO.
This is more than a performance, it’s a chance mingle, sip, and celebrate while supporting local dance! Come hang with the artists and experience the energy and vibes that are uniquely Collective SC. The event starts at 6:30 PM, with the performance kicking off at 7:00 PM. Come early to grab a drink, enter our raffle, meet the artists, and stick around after the show to keep the good vibes going.
All proceeds will support Collective SC’s Season 4 programming and help us continue to create, perform, and build a thriving professional dance community in Charleston. Come celebrate four seasons of Collective SC!
About the Artists:
- Collective SC is a Charleston-based contemporary dance company dedicated to delivering fresh, innovative perspectives on contemporary dance under the artistic direction of Lacey Bates and Izzy Byers. Our mission is to inspire and engage audiences while nurturing the growth of the Southeastern dance community through dynamic collaboration and creative exchange.
- Holy City Dance Center is a nationally award-winning dance studio. With locations in both Clements Ferry and Summerville, HCDC provides outstanding training for dancers of all ages and experience levels — from toddler creative movement classes to advanced competitive dance training programs. Collective SC is proud to serve as the Artist in Residence at Holy City Dance Center. Through the Collective SC residency, HCDC Competition Team dancers have the unique opportunity to train with a professional contemporary dance company, learn original repertoire, and perform alongside Collective SC's professional artists.
- KAB&CO. is a professional contemporary dance company founded and led by sisters Victoria and Julia Kabernagel. Based in Charleston, South Carolina, KAB&CO. creates contemporary dance inspired by pop culture, music, and the moments that shape everyday life. We create work that is artistic without feeling distant, sophisticated without taking itself too seriously, and abstract without losing its connection to the audience. By drawing inspiration from the music, personalities, relationships, and stories people already know and love, KAB&CO. makes contemporary dance feel fresh, familiar, and fun. KAB&CO. brings a distinct voice to the Lowcountry through bold movement, relatable storytelling, and performances that invite everyone to connect with dance in a new way.
