Monthly Wine Dinner at 39 Rue de Jean

One-night-only, five-course chef and sommelier attended experience on October 20th. 

39 Rue de Jean will continue its 25th anniversary celebration with an intimate, elevated wine dinner on Tuesday October 20th, hosted in the restaurant’s wine bar.

Designed as a singular experience, the evening will feature a five-course prix fixe menu, thoughtfully paired with wines selected to complement each course. Both the chef and sommelier will be in attendance, guiding guests through the menu and pairings with insight, storytelling, and a shared appreciation for the craft behind every plate and pour.

The dinner will be offered as one seating only at 6:30 p.m., creating a convivial, celebratory atmosphere for longtime fans and first-time guests alike.

 

October Menu:

Amuse Bouche: 

Tempura Cauliflower - Black Garlic Aioli, Caviar 

Pinot Blanc, Pierre Sparr, Alsace, France 

 

First Course: 

Filet Carpaccio - Shaved Filet Mignon, Shaved Fennel, Capers, Frisee, Lemon Juice, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Assorted Crackers 

Pinot Noir, Laurent Chardigny, Burgundy, France 

 

Second Course:  

Slow Braised Pork Belly - Warm Marble Potato Salad (pearl onions, pomegranate, red wine vinaigrette), Rosemary Jus 

Chenin Blanc, la Craie, Vouvray, France 

 

Third Course: 

Braised Octopus - Hot Lemon Brussels, Squid Ink, Herb Crunch 

Gamay, Louis Jadot, Beaujolais Villages, France 

 

Dessert:  

Mille-Feuille - Raspberry Glaze, Powdered Sugar 

Cabernet Franc Sparkling Rosé, Bouvet, France

Monthly wine dinners are included in a series of special events planned throughout 2026 to celebrate the restaurant’s milestone anniversary.
