Join us on May 13 to sample some of the best food from Charleston's top restaurants plus tasty adult drinks at Charleston's Best Party. You'll party down with Charleston foodies and the winners of this year's Best of Charleston contest.

Charleston City Paper’s annual Best of Charleston competition is the largest reader contest in Charleston with awards in more than 400 categories. This year more than 100,000 people participated in our 29th Best of Charleston competition.

This year's theme: Whodunnit? Murder Mystery!

For one night only, step into an evening of intrigue. Join us on a journey of mystery as you find clues and sip on booze. There will be mysteries to solve, fun to be had and prizes to be won. Come dressed as your favorite hero crime-solver, evil villain or the victim (presumed innocent) from any era. Think Scooby Doo and Agatha Christie too!

Charleston’s Best people, food, drink & more await in this double-narrative.

Party details:

Location: Cannon Distillery 1734 Signal Point Rd, Charleston, S.C. 29412 (James Island)

Attire: Costumes encouraged but not required. Dress as any character from your favorite murder mysery or heist. This can be from any universe or era. Everything from Agatha Christie to Zach Addy from the TV show Bones works. Your adventure and mystery await!

Parking: Available adjacent to Cannon Distillery, and it includes wheelchair accessible parking. FREE parking, but Uber/Taxi/Lift encouraged.

Lights: The party will feature lots (emphasis on lots) of flashing lights. If you are sensitive to light, be cautious.

Sound: The music may be loud at times. Enough said.

Health protocol: If you are sick, we ask that you not attend this year for the safety of all guests.

Ticket required: A ticket is required for entrance to the party.

Adults only: At entry, each guest must provide identification to verify they are 21 years of age or older. No exceptions! Each guest then will receive a wristband that to be worn throughout the party.
