Buxton Books Presents
"Back Porch" Book Launch with Victoria Benton Frank
celebrating The Violet Hour!
Mon, Aug 11 at 6pm
Buxton Books is excited to welcome Victoria Benton Frank back to the bookstore for the launch of her highly anticipated novel, The Violet Hour!
Victoria Benton Frank is back with a new book, and you can be the first to celebrate with her! The Violet Hour, Victoria's second novel, officially publishes on Tuesday, August 12.
Join us a day early, on Monday, August 11, to welcome Victoria and The Violet Hour to the bookstore for this very special "Back Porch" Book Launch. We'll be celebrating in typical Victoria fashion so put on something precious and patterned (bonus points for pearls), be a little loud, have a glass or two of wine (preferably Chardonnay), and be ready to book party. We're treating the bookstore as the best kind of back porch party with sips & sammies, signed books, and lots of laughs.
Victoria's first novel, My Magnolia Summer, is a Buxton Books bestseller, and we can't wait to see all the great places The Violet Hour goes.
Grab your best friends, your book clubs, or just come by yourself, and let's celebrate. We hope to see you there!
Please note: Tickets to this event are non-refundable. If you are no longer able to make the event, we are happy to hold your signed copy of the book for pick up at the store or shipping (at an additional cost).
About The Violet Hour:
A heartwarming and empowering novel about thriving after tragedy, from the author of the “enchanting, hilarious, and insightful” (Patti Callahan Henry, New York Times author) My Magnolia Summer.
Violet Adams is the perfect, youngest child in a family of loud, passionate women on Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina. As the sweet, traditional one, she’s always been the steady hand in her family but after a sudden breakup and subsequent tragedy, she doesn’t know who she is anymore.
Aly Knox, Violet’s best friend, is a young influencer still struggling with the loss of her mother and adjusting to joining Violet in Southern living. With her best friend’s help, Violet is determined to break out of her shell—and who she thought she was—no matter what. And what better place to look for success, meaning, and possibly love than the Lowcountry of South Carolina?
About Victoria Benton Frank:
Victoria Benton Frank was born in New York City, raised in Montclair, New Jersey, but considers herself to have dual residency in the Lowcountry. She is a graduate of the College of Charleston and the French Culinary Institute. Victoria worked in restaurants in New York before returning to Charleston, South Carolina, which she calls home, with her husband, two kids, and sweet pup. When she isn’t writing, she is reading, cooking, playing Mahjong, or chasing her children.
