A program centered on the instrumental chamber works by the most famous composer of the baroque, J. S. Bach, including music of his forbears Johann Heinrich Schmelzer and Dietrich Buxtehude. Instrumental sonatas, a prelude and fugue for harpsichord, as well as arrangements of Bach’s Schubler Chorales are tailor made for Chatham Baroque’s unique instruments.
