This program explores chamber music from Handel’s time in London in the 1700s. Including works of Handel’s London predecessors, such as Nicola Matteis’ Ayres for the Violin, as well as Handel contemporary Geminiani and successor Abel, the concert concludes with Handel’s own glorious Trio Sonata Op. 5 No. 4 in G Major.
Andrew Fouts, violin, Patricia Halverson, viola da gamba and Scott Pauley, theorbo and baroque guitar are joined by guests Evan Few, violin and Justin Wallace, harpsichord.
