Italian Wine Dinner with Oliver McCrum Imports

The Restaurant at Edmund’s Oast is thrilled to host an Italian wine dinner with Georgia Garret of Oliver McCrum, one of the leading Italian wine importers in the country! On Wednesday, February 22, we will explore Italy with a comparison of northern regions vs. southern regions at each course! 

After working many years in the retail and distribution sides of the business in New York, London, and San Francisco, Oliver began importing and distributing wines on his own in 1994. The portfolio had been Italian focused for many years but in 2007, he decided to focus exclusively on the importation of Italian wines. Since then the portfolio has expanded from a predominantly Northern Italian selection to include an equally powerful and fast-growing Southern Italian selection. Oliver and his team look for wines with clarity, focus, and precision made from indigenous Italian grape varieties using traditional winemaking techniques and no obvious use of oak.

Chef Bob Cook along with Pastry Chef Heather Hutton will prepare a four course “family style” dinner to compliment the featured wines. The dinner will start at 7 p.m. and will be held in “The Library”, our private dining room. Tickets are $140, all inclusive. Seating is extremely limited.

Limited quantities of each featured wine will be available for purchase at the dinner.
