Masi Agricola Wine Dinner at Vincent Chicco's
with special guest Tony Apostolakos, US Ambassador for Masi Wines

Join us for an evening of great Italian food paired with the exceptional wines of Masi Agricola, located in the northeastern region of Veneto. We are honored to have Masi’s long-time US Ambassador, Tony Apostolakos, who will share his deep passion and knowledge of these fantastic wines.

Tony Apostolakos comes from a family with a winemaking background, as they originally owned vineyards in Central Greece dating back to the early 1900s before emigration to Montreal in Canada. Apostalakos earned his degree in Economics at the University of Alberta before entering the wine trade, where he now has over 20 years of experience.

Apostolakos first represented Masi in Canada in 1999 before he switched his attention to the United States market in 2005. He makes regular trips to the company headquarters in Valpolicella to spend time with the Boscaini family and the Masi Technical Group and ensure he is fully up-to-date with the company’s winemaking techniques and global strategy. When not representing Masi, Tony lives in the Finger Lakes with his wife and two daughters.

Vincent Chicco's Executive Chef, Dalton Fischer, will prepare a 4-course meal for the guests, with a passed appetizer course beginning at 5:30.

Passed hors d'oeuvre: East Coast Oyster with Blackberry Mignonette paired with Torresella Prosecco Brut from Veneto, Italy

First Course: Oreganata Poached Swordfish with Kohlrabi puree, warm frisee, and citrus paired with Masi, Delle Venezie Pinot Grigio Masianco

Second Course: Cacio e Pepe Risotto with oyster mushroom glace paired with Masi, Veronese Campofiorin Rosso (2018)

Third Course: Cast Iron Seared Duck Breast served with Roasted Grape Emulsion paired with Masi, Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Costasera (2016)

Fourth Course: Tellegio and Honey served with toasted walnuts and pickled pear paired with Masi, Valpolicella Classico Bonacosta (2020)
