Somm School: France Part 2
Sat, Feb 5 at 11am
Taking an entry level wine certification can be a fun challenge for both restaurant industry folks and armchair sommeliers. However, it can also be an extreme challenge as there is so much breadth to the world of wine knowledge. If you don’t know where to begin we have just the answer with our Saturday Somm School, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. weekly.
Beginning January 15, Exchange general manager and certified sommelier Sarah O’Kelley will lead classes that should serve as preparation for an entry level wine certification or to simply enhance any wine lover’s aptitude. Attendees will learn the basics of grape growing, winemaking, blind evaluation, and take a tour of the major wine regions of the world.
The course will run for roughly four months, and attendees can pay for each class individually. Tickets are $20 per person, but there will be a 50 percent discount for those in the food and beverage industry.
The Exchange is asking that all participants have proof of vaccination for COVID-19.
