Rad Gumbo is a quartet of funk-obsessed Charleston music veterans steeped in the sonic traditions of the Big Easy. Comprised of sax-man/vocalist Mike Quinn, guitar wizard Dave Grimm, skin slapper Jonathan Peace, and low-end specialist Corey Stephens, Rad Gumbo will take you on a 2nd line parade down Frenchman Street and a zydeco tour through the heart of Mardis Gras, dropping you off in the funk-defining core of The Meters. Expect, also, radical rearrangements of songs that you know and love, translated into the musical traditions of New Orleans. It’s a party, y’all. They all ask'd for YOU!
