The Darling Oyster Bar & Elliott Moss Present Roasted & Smoked

The Darling Oyster Bar has teamed up with Elliott Moss out of Asheville, NC for their “Roasted and Smoked” event. For this event, The Darling’s Joe DiMaio and Moss – whose Buxton Hall Barbeque recently made Bon Appetit’s best new restaurants list – will partner up for a celebration of roasted oysters and smoked whole hog. Chef Elliott Moss will also be selling his new book, Buxton Hall Barbecue’s Book of Smoke: Wood-Smoked Meat, Sides and More.
The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Geechie Boy Farm on Edisto Island. Guest can enjoy all the fixings that come with a Lowcountry oyster roast and pig pickin’, plus live music by The Rambler's.
Guests can also purchase a signed copy of Chef Moss’s book for $20.00 at the event.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Edisto Island Preservation Alliance whose mission is to preserve Edisto Island’s rural and agricultural way of life through community driven growth control and proactive initiatives to preserve its historical and cultural heritage, its ecosystems, and its natural beauty.
