Listen closely and you will hear the sounds of Jamaican roots music like those done by The Skatalites and early Wailers, sung through a New York accent, and written from an original American perspective. Their unique reworking of the genre portrays how Bob Dylan, The Sonics, or The Rolling Stones may have sounded if they grew up on as much reggae and ska as they did on R&B.
