Grab your captain’s hat and put on your navy blazer, because this New Year’s Eve is all about yacht-rocking into 2016. If you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain, then this night was made for you. Although we really hope it doesn’t rain.
On Thursday, December 31, Mixson Bath & Racquet Club will swing open the gates for an epic night of fancy rum drinks, ice-cold daiquiris, a dinner buffet worthy of a cruise ship, and lots of great mellow tunes being spun by DJ RaeTone, a yacht rock specialist from Atlanta. We won’t be crashing a bottle of champagne against a boat at midnight… or, wait… that sounds like fun, maybe we will do that.
Tickets for the event are $75 for MB&RC members and $100 for nonmembers. Food and drink are included along with plenty of fun surprises (bubbles! silent disco! late-night breakfast burritos!).
Guests are encouraged to dress up in their finest sailor threads. Or at least their favorite Sperry Topsiders.
