Charleston Moves presents Pedal & Panache, our first annual Fall Soiree!
Join us in the beautiful gallery at the Halsey Institute to celebrate our ongoing advocacy for better walking and biking in Charleston County. The party includes a vintage bicycle display, a live art bike auction and photo booth, drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and live music by Wheels (Nick Jenkins, Sam Sfirri, and Myles Walsh)!
Charleston Moves’ work hinges on three approaches to creating a safe, connected, livable city: Advocacy, Safety and Community. Proceeds from Pedal & Panache will support this approach and build our outreach and programming with efforts such as:
Advocacy: Legare Bridge Bike & Pedestrian Lane, People Pedal – The Downtown Bike Plan, People-First Streets & Intersections, and Battery2Beach
Safety: Light The Night (bike light giveaways), Bike Commute Workshops, and Safe Urban Cycling Classes
Community: Annual Member Meeting, Handlebar Happy Hours & Social Rides, Charleston Bike Month (Bike to Work Day, Ride of Silence, Urban Cycling 101, Bike Commute Challenge, Special 2016 events to come!)
