From opera singer to esteemed chef, Alexander Smalls joins Hunter Lewis onstage for a searching conversation about food, culture, traditions, and moments at the dinner table that make all the difference. Alexander Smalls is a James Beard Award–winning chef, cookbook author, and raconteur. He is a regular celebrity chef on the Today show, Top Chef, and other Food Network shows. He is also a world-renowned opera singer and the winner of both a Grammy Award and a Tony Award for the cast recording of Porgy and Bess. Hunter Lewis has been the Editor-in-Chief of Food and Wine since 2017, leading a team that has earned multiple James Beard and IACP Awards and nominations from the American Society of Magazine Editors.
