The Charleston Queer Adult Prom

After a successful youth prom in April, get ready to blast into outer space because The Charleston Queer Adult Prom: A fundraising event by We Are Family is back!  

The Charleston Queer Adult Prom is the sell out fundraiser by We Are Family, SC's grassroots organization where LGBTQ+ youth thrive! 

A great way to kick off pride month celebrations in Charleston, this fourth annual event will provide LGBTQ+ adults and allies a second chance to have the prom experience they have always dreamed of with an inclusive and affirming night of fun— all while supporting a great cause. At this year’s prom, get ready to blast off into outer space and land in a majestic garden that is out of this world. Once you land on this queer planet, delicious bites and treats will be provided, as well as access to a fully stocked bar. As you venture around this intergalactic garden, you’ll find unforgettable experiences while you dance the night away with beats by the DJ Crystal Guysir. Hosted by Patti O'Furniture, plus a special appearance by Rupaul's Drag Race legend, Stacy Layne Mattews. Expect more surprises from mission control that you can not miss, and experaince the magic that is The Charleston Queer Prom!

Tickets are on sale now, but don’t wait as space-shuttle fuel prices increase, so will tickets to this cosmic event.

Know before you go:

• This year’s Queer Adult Prom theme is "A Garden in Outer Space."
• Attendees can come dressed in their prom best, cosplay, on theme, or even in jeans and a nice shirt. No dress-code violations will be given.
• This event is 18 to party, 21 to drink with a valid ID and is open to everyone under the rainbow umbrella and allies.
• Throughout the evening, guests can expect a bountiful raffle, stocked full of prizes donated from local businesses.
• There will be security on site for the safety of attendees.
• Included in a ticket is a general admission to the event, heavy hors d'oeuvres, desserts and treats stations, as well as access to the activities throughout the event. Drinks will be available for purchase by Firefly Distillery.
• By attending this event, you agree to We Are Family's Coivd-19 Liability Waiver.
