Five married couples, three single women, and one conflicted bachelor try to balance romance, commitment and sex in the city that never sleeps.
From Stephen Sondheim, musical theatre's most renowned composer (Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods), Company is largely regarded as a trailblazer of the modern musical comedy genre and the winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Lyrics and Best Book.
PLOT: On the night of his 35th birthday, confirmed bachelor Robert contemplates his unmarried state. Over the course of a series of dinners, hilarious interactions, and even a wedding, his friends – "those good and crazy people [his] married friends" – explain the pros and cons of taking on a spouse.
Company features a brilliantly brisk and energetic score containing many of Sondheim's best known songs, including Ladies who Lunch, Marry Me a Little, and Another Hundred People.
