Wed, Sep 7, 2016 at 6:30pm

This event has passed.

Part of the “Vote Champagne” campaign created to get patrons to learn about and drink more champagne, Edmund’s Oast will host a Champagne School. On Wednesday, September 7 at 6:30pm, Sarah O’Kelley, Certified Sommelier, will share more about the process that goes into making every bottle. She will also describe more on the labeling terminology which helps when ordering champagne, and describe the sub-regions of Champagne, France. The tasting is $50 for four tastings along with some small paired bites by Chef Reid Henninger.

Vote Champagne will run throughout the election season, with special glasses and bottles available for purchase at special prices. There will also be a special dinner with Sarah Simmons on September 21 and other events throughout the election season to put more emphasis on drinking champagne.

Champagne is a sparkling wine produced in the Champagne region of France, and is made following particular rules of the appellation.
